"Nonetheless, for some time, some politicians in the United States have kept making false statements and groundless remarks against China. They have viciously attacked the CPC and China's political system. They have deliberately distorted and even attempted to write off the history of China-U.S. relations for the past nearly 50 years," Yang noted.
For his part, Hishammuddin said that Malaysia attaches great importance to the robust relations with China and that their bilateral cooperation goes beyond geopolitics.
China never intends to and will never interfere in U.S. elections or other U.S. internal affairs. Likewise, the United States must abandon its fantasy of remodeling China to U.S. needs. It must stop its meddling in China's internal affairs, and stop its irrational cracking down on China's legitimate rights and interests, he said.
